"In the heart of garden city, Kansas nestled between buildings is a vintage restaurant from 1925. Although in this time era, it was owned by Myers ice cream and has had several owners since the original opening. The interior has maintained much of its original structure. In 1943 the restaurant opened for lunch and dinner and still maintaining its 50s vibe. I felt like I transported back to the 50s. The owner was serving the customers working behind the counter and out on the dining room floor. The service was exceptionally great. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I ate a grilled cheese sandwich with pickles and chips. I took potato soup to go for dinner later. The food was amazing. It tasted like a home-cooked meal. You have to try the soda fountain it's one of the few ones left, where they make sodas 1950 style. They have homemade pies too. Great food, chill drinks, vintage vibe! Cheers "

"A blast from the past! Definitely the place you should stop and have lunch. Get a old fashioned malt, the way God intended ice to be drank."

"I haven't eaten here since I was a kid. I ordered the lime freeze and was transported back to my youth. The 1950s atmosphere is exactly what you'd want it to be in a eatery like this. The prices are fair and the selection widespread. I'd thoroughly recommend stopping by here. Next time, I'm ordering a lemon shake. Update, I went back and ordered the lemon shake. Perfection. I also ordered the Chubby Checker. That paired nicely with the shake."

"Really charming traditional dinner. The atmosphere was very welcoming. I had the Bopper sandwich and it was delicious! I tried the cookies and cream shake, recommendation by the waitress, and it was delightful! Definitely homemade, can't get that at any fast food joint."

"This was our first time visiting, and definitely will not be our last! Food was delicious, the staff very friendly and accommodating even on a busy day, and the atmosphere is fun and nostalgic. A great stop for our family lunch!"

"I didn't get to eat my food because it wasn't anything like I ordered so I told them to cancel it. The waitress seemed to have a little attitude after that, but Mike(?) was very friendly. I'd give them another chance because of my childhood memories of the place and because he was so genuinely friendly."
